Gabriele Tranchina is an internationally recognized jazz vocalist performing within the US and Europe. Her albums, “The Old Country,” and “A Song Of Love’s Color,” have been critically acclaimed. The second earned Gabriele a cover feature in “Inside Jazz Magazine.” She signed with Jazzheads records in 2010. While touring, Gabriele shares her expertise as a musician and educator by holding jazz vocal clinics for adults and college students.
Since 1997, Ms. Tranchina has directed Sol La Ti’s Music Together program at 4 locations in Morningside Heights and Harlem. In 2012, at the request of her German speaking families, Gabriele developed “
Musikalische Mäuse,” an innovative German music program inspired by Gabriele’s heritage, her experience as an educator in Jazz and Music Together®.
Gabriele holds a teaching degree in Music and Physical Education from J.W. Goethe University, Frankfurt/M. She is a certified Level III voice teacher in the Somatic Voicework™. She is a certified Level II Music Together Teacher, the highest level, demonstrating outstanding achievement in teaching, musicianship, program philosophy, and parent education.
Gabriele studied dance at New York’s Peridance Center, Broadway Dance Center and Citycenter. She plays the guitar and some piano.

Jim McNickle – Teacher
Actor/Singer Jim Mc Nickle can be seen on
TV in shows like “Law and Order”. Besides teaching Music Together, he also teaches music and story telling to children.
His caring personality and great sense of humor have earned him great success performing music in homes for the elderly.
His work as an actor/singer includes stage,
TV and film. Jim also holds a BS in
journalism. He plays guitar and blues harp.
He is a registered Music Teacher teacher.
Mia Neibert DeJesus – Teacher
Mia Neibert is a contemporary vocalist. She graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Professional Music.
Mia was thrilled when she discovered Music Together in 2007, the program combines both of her love’s which are music and teaching children.
Mia also has two daughters, Sofia and Viviana. Mia is a registered MT teacher, and plays some guitar.
Nicole DeLoi – Teacher
Nicole is a musician and mama to 2 sweet children. She studied performing arts with emphases in voice and violin at the University of Nebraska, where she was raised. After moving to the east coast in 2004, Nicole began playing in several ensembles, finally landing her dream job as a music together teacher and wedding performer with her acoustic folk duo, Owls & Lions. Nicole is a registered Music Together teacher and plays piano and violin.
Olivia Betzen – Teacher
Olivia is a classically trained soprano. She has her Undergraduate in music with a minor in Italian and Masters of music from the University of Kansas. She also holds a Post-Masters degree in music performance from the University of Michigan. Olivia is an active singer and church musician in NYC. She continues her love of education and music as the children’s choir director at St. Paul the Apostle, teaching pre-K classes in Art and Mixed classes at Citibabes. Olivia has a also a background in dancing (tap, ballet and modern) and plays the piano. Since 2016 she is a registered Music Together teacher.
